Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is solid.
The Software
Available: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is apparently in the works. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
